About DATA

"Shalom, DATA." That's what you hear when you dial (214) 987-DATA. But, it's actually more than just the friendly way that Zamira Rajchgod answers the phone. That's what DATA is: open, welcoming and an incredible resource to the Dallas Jewish community.

"We provide the insight. You develop the outlook..." Those who venture into DATA discover a wealth of stimulating classes, provocative discussions and nurturing teachers with curricula designed for beginners, as well as for more advanced students. "Talmud for Dummies," "Mysticism and Kabbalah," "Mission Control," "Jewish Life Cycles" and "Crash Course in Basic Judaism" represent just a few of the filled-to-overflowing classes offered to Jewish men and women committed to enhancing their spiritual growth.

DATA began in 1992 consisting of four rabbis housed in a local synagogue. Eventually, due to increased participation, we moved to our current site, a renovated 2200-square foot house at 5840 Forest Lane in Dallas. Our current faculty of seven rabbis supports attendance of over 300 people a week in various classes and discussion groups, and as well provides consultation on all matters relating to the Jewish individual. In addition, every Friday, over 700 people receive an inspiring message on the weekly Torah portion by email or fax. Come in, investigate, listen to a class, or just say hello. We're here for you.
